Shondra CK | April 18th, 10am-12pm
Contemporary
Service Description
Shondra’s contemporary class is deeply grounded and rich in texture. Her style lives close to the floor, with an emphasis on weight, breath, and honest physicality. Floorwork is a major focus, with dancers learning how to transition seamlessly in and out of the ground with control and intention. Recently training in Europe with Humanhood Dance Co, and continuing her work with YYC Contemporary Technique, Shondra brings a global perspective shaped by her experience and her foundation as a UofC dance graduate. Her class encourages exploration, curiosity, and a strong connection to sensation rather than surface level shapes. Dancers can expect intricate floor pathways and phrases that ask for strength, awareness, and commitment to movement quality. Best suited for dancers who are ready to dive into grounded contemporary work and expand their range.
