At Bare Dance YYC, we offer programs that empower dancers ages 16 and up to grow, perform, and create. Our company is built for artists who are ready to take their training and creativity to the next level, whether that means refining technique, performing on stage, exploring work on camera, or stepping into the role of choreographer.

TRAINING

For dancers seeking consistent growth
Our Training Division is designed for artists who want steady, season-long development. Dancers take part in weekly company classes focused on technique, combos, and skill-building. While this division does not include the annual performance or summer video project, members still access company photoshoots, video projects, and professional portfolio development.

PERFORMANCE
D I V I S I O N
For dancers ready to perform and create
The Performance Division offers the full Bare Dance experience. Alongside two company classes a month, dancers join rehearsals for our annual January performance and participate in our large scale summer video project. This program is perfect for those ready to perform live, expand into on-camera work, and build a professional portfolio.

Competition Option
For dancers 18+ seeking competitive opportunities
This optional program is available to dancers 18+ who are not currently competing with a collegiate team. Participants showcase their artistry in competition settings, gaining valuable experience in performance refinement and adjudicated feedback.

Choreographic Residency
For choreographers developing new work
Any company member may apply for our Choreographic Residency. This program offers choreographers the chance to create original works, collaborate with company dancers, and receive professional mentorship. Residents gain access to studio time, feedback, performance opportunities, and portfolio support, making this a platform for experimentation, innovation, and growth.
